There were ONLY 2 employees at the top checking tickets. You then walk up ramps to the next level where you show your tickets for entry. Here you merge with the other foot traffic and are directed Left (odd seating) OR Right (even seating). From here they direct the flow of foot traffic into ONE area. Bags must be under a certain size, which I believe was 15 inches. Both entrances will have you go through metal detectors and submit your bags/backpacks for inspection. The one on the back opens into the Box Office Ticket Sales window. One on the front of the building enters into a souvenir stand. Getting into the actual arena is like herding cattle, as they only have 2 main entrances. Food is available for purchase, but we did NOT buy so I cannot comment on quality. I'm NOT sure if that is how it normally IS or IF it is just due to them opening the doors to let the Monster Trucks in and out of the arena on a cold, snowy winter day. There is ample space where they could place souvenir stands out the the way, but it is not done probably in order to obtain the most foot traffic/sales. They are placed in troublesome areas resulting in back ups when trying to enter and exit the building. Souvenir stands are limited & lines are long. There are BIG TV monitors suspended from the ceiling in the center of the arena to give you close up view of the floor action and in this case also post the scores from the events. Plus at the Monster Jam they provide you a website in order to vote on the competition, which is FUN. They have a few giveaways during the show. The floor space really is quite small to be hosting a Monster Truck show. The restrooms are WAY TOO SMALL for the amount of guests. We considered going to Philly this year for the Monster Jam since it is a large arena, but decided to go with Royal Farms Arena again since it is indoors (and protection from rain/snow). We were here last year and enjoyed the show.
